OverDrive currently requires Windows Media Player and their OverDrive Media Manager software, so Apple users will not be able to access this content right now. However, OverDrive is opening up a significant portion of their offerings as non-DRM protected content. That means you can download and listen to these files on your Apple computer, iPod, or Linux computer. This should happen closer to the end of summer 2008, so keep checking this website for updates!
NetLibrary provides audio books and eBooks on many subjects for Windows based computers only. NetLibrary does not provide any access to their content for Apple or Linux users.

This service will eventually be replaced with OverDrive. You can safely uninstall the PermissionTV software from your computer as you will no longer need it.

All you need to do is to supply your own headphones; no downloading or tranferring required! These units run on standard AAA batteries which are provided when you check out the player. Playaways also include bookmarking features and the ability to increase the speed of the reader. Try one today! You can check out one playaway for two weeks at any GDL branch.
